NEW SMURFS POSTER AND CAST LIST INCLUDED!

Sony Pictures has released a new poster for “The Smurfs” – its 3D live-action/CGI re-imagining of the classic 80s television cartoon. The film arrives in theaters on July 29th.
The film follows the loveable blue Smurfs in the middle ages as they attempt to escape the evil wizard Gargamel (voiced by Hank Azaria). Due to a rare blue moon, a portal opens, sending the Smurfs through time and space to present-day Central Park in New York. They hide with the couple Patrick and Grace Winslow (Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays) while trying to find a way back to their world before Gargamel finds them.
The film features an allstar live-action and voice cast, including the classic Nickelodeon star Kenan Thompson. Now making his name on “Saturday Night Live,” Kenan once starred in the ever-popular “All That,” “Good Burger,” and “Kenan and Kel.” Along with his film career, Kenan will make his return to Nickelodeon with a guest appearance on the new “iCarly” and “Victorious” crossover “iParty with Victorious” – premiering on June 11th.
