RUMORS SPOILERS NEW AMAZING SPIDER-MAN DETAILS! HOPE ITS BS!

Plot/Character Details For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2; SPOILERS Ahead

We've managed to uncover a few tidbits and one pretty major spoiler from Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man sequel. Read on to find out more on how Green Goblin, Electro, Gwen Stacy and Venom will - or won't - feature in the movie..

Okay, SPOILER WARNING noted, ready to move on? Final Warning?? A source close to the production has provided us with the following pieces of information on The Amazing Spider-Man 2. There are some details we got hold of that we won't post now, but we will reveal one major - though not entirely unexpected - spoiler.

First up, Electro (Jamie Foxx). We're told he will not be wearing anything close to his classic green and yellow outfit, and to "think Ultimate version". Again, not really unexpected. The character's civilian alter ego Max Dillon will be an Oscorp employee - oh, and that pic Webb tweeted with the morgue number? Nothing at all to do with Venom (no Eddie Brock appearance either) it's actually where Dillon is taken after his "accident". We're told there will be no Green Goblin in this movie but LOTS of teasers and foreshadowing for the next movie - apparently Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) hasn't been cured yet and is still dying. Now for the big spoiler: Just as most of us suspected, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) will indeed check out in this film, but perhaps more surprising is that it's been hinted - note we don't know this for certain - that this won't even happen at the end, and Stone's role may not be very large at all. Like I said, that's speculation based on how the info was put across, but I personally wouldn't be surprised in Gwen buys it around the beginning of the third act, giving Spidey a reason to go off the deep end and seek revenge.

Thoughts?

YOUNG JUSTICE AND GL SERIES MAY BE SAVED FANS PROTESTING WB NOW!

WB Meeting In April To Discuss Resurrecting YOUNG JUSTICE And GREEN LANTERN: TAS?

Word from the people behind SMGOtv is that fan outcry has prompted Warner Bros. to take a second look at Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series and that an April meeting has been set to determine the feasibility of more episodes via crowd funding.

While their main website is down for a relaunch, the people of SMGO took to Tumblr to inform the masses that there's a small spark of hope for YOUNG JUSTICE and GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES to continue. Specifically, the people behind SMGOtv(SHOWMUSTGOoNTV) are poised to launch a crowdfunded campaign (think Kickstarter) to save the two fan favorite animated shows but they must first receive the official OK from WB Animation. If they get approval, fans will be able to finance more material for the shows (episodes, OVA, film, etc.). If you want to see more YJ and GL:TAS then continue to make your voices heard right up till the April 11th meeting.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series executive producer Giancarlo Volpe shared the following on March 23rd.
Phone call with WB this morning went well! A meeting is planned on April 11th! We'll keep you informed! Thank you all!

THE REST OF THE NINJA TURTLES HAVE BEEN CAST! AND SHREDDER IS UP NEXT!

NINJA TURTLES Reboot Casts Its Leonardo, Donatello And Michaelangelo

Pete Plozek (Parks And Recreation), Jeremy Howard (Galaxy Quest) and Noel Fisher (Battle: LA) join Alan Ritchson as Paramount's new Ninja Turtles. Additionally, the studio is looking to cast an actor for Shredder soon.

Last week, we reported that Alan Ritchson (Smallville, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) was cast as Raphael in Paramount Pictures' planned reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, which will be produced by Michael Bay (Transformers) and directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath Of The Titans). Now, thanks to Deadline, we now know who will be playing the rest of the Turtles. Pete Ploszek (Parks And Recreation, Shameless) will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (Galaxy Quest) is set for Donatello, and Noel Fisher (who previously worked with Liebesman on Battle: Los Angeles) is Michaelangelo. Megan Fox will play April O'Neil, and the site adds that the studio is hoping to cast an actor for the villainous Shredder soon. Unlike the original movies, the new Ninja Turtles will be motion captured a la Avatar, which will give them better exposure as Paramount hopes for the film to launch a new series. With production expected to begin next month, Ninja Turtles is set to hit theaters June 6th, 2014. What do you think of this casting?

L-R: Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Noel Fisher (Michaelangelo)

DC TO PUBLISH NEW BATMAN COMICS BASED ON ADAM WEST SERIES!!

COMICS: DC To Publish New Series Based On The Classic BATMAN TV Show

According to Bleeding Cool, DC plan to release a new comic series this Summer which will be based on the classic Batman show from the '60s which starred Adam West. We don't have too much more info, but check out a pic after the jump..

Who doesn't like the classic Batman show? Well okay, quite a lot of you have probably never seen it but let me assure you it's frackin hilarious. Now DC plan to release a new comic series based on the exploits of the campiest of camp Batmen (Adam West) and his sidekick Robin The Boy Wonder (Burt Ward).

That's pretty much all we know, but as the above pic courtesy of Bleeding Cool reveals, we can expect it sometime this Summer. Cause for a celebratory dance of the Batusi!

RYAN REYNOLD WOULD RETURN FOR JUSTICE LEAUGE IF SCRIPT IS RIGHT!

Not yet," Reynolds responds, when asked by Empire magazine if he has got a call about the Justice League movie. "I don't know. If you're gonna do comic book movies in that vein, you really have to get them right. I believe that Joss Whedon is the guy that just nails it and Christopher Nolan obviously nails it. So if they were gonna do it like that, it would be an interesting thing to do.
"It's just that... working on Green Lantern, I saw how difficult it is make that concept palatable," Reynolds continues. "And how confused it all can be when you don't really know exactly where you're going with it or you don't really know how to access that world properly - that world comic book fans have been accessing for decades and falling in love with. So at this point I have very little interest in joining that kind of world. But, you know, a great script and a good director can always turn that around."

SMALLVILLES AQUAMAN CAST AS RAPHAEL IN MICHEAL BAYS NINJA TURTLES!

LATEST NEWS

'Smallville' Star Alan Ritchson is Raphael in the New 'Ninja Turtles'

Alan Ritchson / Raphael
Producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman have been fighting an uphill battle against hardcore fans with their new take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ever since it was discovered that the heroes in a half shell were being converted from mutants to aliens and the title was officially just Ninja Turtles. The movie has encountered a few budget issues, and despite Bay's assertion that fans should just calm down, the backlash continued when Megan Fox was cast as April O'Neil last month. Now Deadline reports that Paramount and Platinum Dunes have cast "Smallville" actor Alan Ritchson as Raphael. Wait, who is that?
Ritchson played Arthur Curry aka Aquaman on the long-running CW series, and he just wrapped shooting the highly-anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, in which he'll play a knife-wielding tribute from District One named Gloss. In Ninja Turtles, the cast members playing the iconic heroes will trade out the rubber suits from the original for a modern motion capture suit (much like Avatar). While Deadline calls this a "good role" for Ritchson, his part in the film won't be all that great if the script isn't worth a damn, and with the supposedly leaked screenplay and damage controlled bad buzz already surrounding this movie, it looks like we have reason to worry, not to mention the underwhelming Liebesman at the helm.
I know a lot of fans don't like it, but I'm cool with Megan Fox as April O'Neil, and I'm sure Ritchson will make a fine Raphael. We won't write this movie off completely without seeing a trailer, but Bay and Liebesman have a lot of work to do if they want to win over fans before this film hits theaters. Ninja Turtles still has a May 16th, 2014 release date in place, up against Gareth Edwards' Godzilla remake. Thoughts

NO NEW DC MOVIES UNTIL AFTER JUSTICE LEAUGE! YES! JL COMING FIRST!

No New DC Movies Until After Justice League: Is DC Intimidated by Marvel's Success?

No New DC Movies Until After Justice League: Is DC Intimidated by Marvel's Success?

Over the years, DC Comics—who are owned by Warner Bros.—have had successful film franchises for Superman and Batman. However, despite their long history and wealth of characters, they’ve never had a hit hero franchise that didn’t have the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight involved. Currently they have no plans to even try until they see how the Justice League movie does. Is DC perhaps a bit intimidated by Marvel’s recent mega-success at movies?
DC Comics has been around since the 1930s and it has some of the most recognizable super-heroes in the world...Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, etc. Everyone knows them. These names are arguably better known worldwide than Iron Man or Thor. With this huge stable of characters to work with, you’d think DC-- reorganized into DC Entertainment a few years ago--would be rolling out a non-stop cavalcade of projects. However, No other DC projects are officially in the works except Justice League and the already completed Man of Steel. No other in-consideration DC super hero film has a script, a producer, a director or a cast.
Contrast this with Marvel, who have several successful franchises going now—The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America—and will be adding the Guardians of the Galaxy very soon, as well as Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. There is also the strong possibility of a Hulk sequel starring Mark Ruffalo, following Avengers 2. Add to that Amazing Spider Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Marvel is on a major roll!
So what is DC/Warner Bros. thinking? They say they are waiting to see how Man of Steel performs before they commit themselves to anything. They have spoken about a possible Batman reboot franchise but nothing else seems to be getting serious consideration. The Justice League film, although currently stuck in development hell, seems a sure thing. But of course, the Justice League will feature two guys you may have heard of—Superman and Batman.
DC’s current strategy is to do the opposite of what Marvel is doing. Instead of combining multiple hero franchises into one super-team film; they are going to use the super-team film to launch several franchises. They hope that the introduction of modern versions of Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern will be so well received in the JL movie that the spin-offs will succeed better.
Since the creation of DC Entertainment a few years back, the only non-Bat, non-Kryptonian film they have attempted is the much maligned Green Lantern, which has made them gun-shy about any project that doesn’t have a bat-signal or a red cape with an ‘S’ on it.
DC has been resting their hopes on Christopher Nolan, who directed the successful Batman series and is now overseeing the Man of Steel. However, Nolan has recently made it clear that he doesn’t want to be involved in the Justice League movie — which means that he won’t be the guiding Godfather for DC that Joss Whedon is for Marvel. This was a crushing blow for Warner Bros., which had been hoping that the popular Nolan would connect his red-hot name to the Justice League and its spin-offs.
Without Nolan, DC has to find a new guiding Godfather to oversee its ‘Universe’. Hopefully, whomever becomes Whedon’s DC counterpart will have a better vision for these characters and we’ll start seeing more DC projects in the near future.

TV'S GREEN ARROW STEPHEN AMELL TO VOICE ARROW IN INJUSTICE GODS AMONG US!

Exclusive: Stephen Amell Brings His Arrow Alias to the Injustice Video Game

Injustice: Gods Among Us
Stephen Amell's got game. Literally. The Arrow star is bringing his superhero alias to the highly anticipated video game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Amell, who plays Oliver Queen on the hit CW series, is lending his voice (and likeness) for a variation on Green Arrow in the game, which is based on the DC Comics universe. Players can unlock the Arrow character, an alternate version (or "skin," in gaming parlance) of the game's default setting, which is the classic comic book incarnation of the Emerald Archer.

Injustice — developed by NetherRealm Studios, creators of the popular Mortal Kombat games — is an ambitious production, with intense fighting elements and an extensive storyline along the lines of a Hollywood blockbuster. DC Comics' most iconic characters are featured, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Lex Luthor, the Joker and Catwoman.

Among the voice cast is fan favorite Kevin Conroy as Batman, a character he originated in Batman: The Animated Series and has played in countless animated shows, movies and video games. George Newbern is Superman, a role he played on Cartoon Network's Justice League, and animation vet Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls, The Fairly Oddparents) is Harley Quinn.

Injustice: Gods Among Us goes on sale April 16 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
